“ABOUT THE DESIGNER”
As a child, growing up in the Barossa Valley in South Australia, Patti Cavenett was inspired by many of the wonderful Children’s stories. She cultivated a vivid imagination and she was mesmerized by the delicate and detailed illustrations produced by the brilliant English Author Beatrix Potter. No doubt those gentle tales and innocent fantasies ignited a lifetime of fervent creativity in Patti. Ideas flowed from the pages of her sketch book in those early years and many years later, what began as an absorbing past-time has blossomed into the full time craft business that became known as “The Treasure House”.
Of course, creativity never really rests. It merely discovers new directions to explore! So it came as no surprise when Patti and Graham, together discovered the magic and artistry of making Teddy Bears and similar Critters and “Kympatti Bears Australia” was born.
Since those early days of Teddy Making, literally hundreds of original designs, hand-made Bears and Critters have marched forth from the “Kympatti” Studios to face the world. All created with the love and inspiration nurtured by those tales of long ago.
A major Holiday Season clean up has unearthed those treasures of the past and Patti’s old sketch book was found amongst the long forgotten papers – Now she felt compelled to design the 2010 range and based on those early sketches she has produced the “HILLTOP” range. In a world less gentle than her own childhood, Patti has interpreted some of those memories into Fantasy Critters who will perhaps strike a chord with the creative minds of another generation.

Kympatti Bears Australia has traveled the World with their one-of Creations. Most of our Bears are very distinctive and easily recognized as a Kympatti Design. Here we offer a selection of hand-crafted Bears and Kritters available for adoption. These Bears have been created by Patti and Graham with much love in the Kympatti Studio here on the Gold Coast. Some, you may recognize as samples for our kit and pattern range. Some are retiring and deserved of a well-earned rest. Others have been designed as very special originals. - All are anxious to settle into a brand new home and "HUG".

EACH will also come with their very own photographic certificate of Authenticity personalized with Patti's own signature.

MINK PANDA RED - ONE-OF-A-KIND
"MINK PANDA" has been created with Vintage Mink (recycled from Mink coats Circa1900). Standing at 5 inches tall, He has been created in the palest white and red antique mink. He is fully jointed and is lounging in his beautifully designed vintage porcelain egg. He is a one-of-a-kind bear.

CLANCY - 10inches tall

"Clancy" is a 10inch tall German tipped mohair bear. He is fully jointed with ultra suede paw pads. He has English glass eyes that Patti has given felted eyelids and a lovely handstitched deep cherry nose. He proudly wears a leatherette scarf with a little handcrafted leather toggle at his chest. He has a very special K button in his ear (trendy pearcing). Made as a Sample by Kympatti Bears (2/2), This particular mohair is no longer available.

RAYMOND RABBIT

Here's one wee rabbit who's bitten off more than he can chew! Made from lovely hand dyed green mohair, his floppy ears and lined in pink and are the same colour as his footpads. Complete with carrot, he'll have plenty of food to last a while!
