“ABOUT THE DESIGNER”
As a child, growing up in the Barossa Valley in South Australia, Patti Cavenett was inspired by many of the wonderful Children’s stories. She cultivated a vivid imagination and she was mesmerized by the delicate and detailed illustrations produced by the brilliant English Author Beatrix Potter. No doubt those gentle tales and innocent fantasies ignited a lifetime of fervent creativity in Patti. Ideas flowed from the pages of her sketch book in those early years and many years later, what began as an absorbing past-time has blossomed into the full time craft business that became known as “The Treasure House”.
Of course, creativity never really rests. It merely discovers new directions to explore! So it came as no surprise when Patti and Graham, together discovered the magic and artistry of making Teddy Bears and similar Critters and “Kympatti Bears Australia” was born.
Since those early days of Teddy Making, literally hundreds of original designs, hand-made Bears and Critters have marched forth from the “Kympatti” Studios to face the world. All created with the love and inspiration nurtured by those tales of long ago.
A major Holiday Season clean up has unearthed those treasures of the past and Patti’s old sketch book was found amongst the long forgotten papers – Now she felt compelled to design the 2010 range and based on those early sketches she has produced the “HILLTOP” range. In a world less gentle than her own childhood, Patti has interpreted some of those memories into Fantasy Critters who will perhaps strike a chord with the creative minds of another generation.

"RAT-A-MOUS" - 4inches tall - Pattern Some confusion for this little fellow, who is not sure if he is a Mouse because he is way too cute for a Rat. This pattern has easy to follow and complete instructions for you to create this  Gorgeous LITTLE CHARACTER who answers the call to  "RAT-A-MOUS".  He is shown posing next to a Vintage Cotton Reel (not included) just to give you an idea of his finished size.  He is fully jointed and as cute as a button.  He has been hand coloured with pastels. "RAT-A-MOUS" - 4inches tall - Kit Some confusion for this little fellow, who is not sure if he is a Mouse because he is way too cute for a Rat. This kit has everything you will need to make Rat-a-mous.  The pattern has easy to follow and complete instructions for you to create this  Gorgeous LITTLE CHARACTER who answers the call to  "RAT-A-MOUS".  He is shown posing next to a Vintage Cotton Reel (not included in the kit) but just to give you an idea of his finished size.  He is fully jointed and as cute as a button.  He has been hand coloured with pastels. "DUKE" TERRIER plus BONUS pattern PEPI POODLE PUP - PATTERN This BONUS pattern for Duke the Terrier and Pepi the Poodle Pup.  Both of these little pups make ideal companions for any Doll or Teddy.  Both friendly little fellows and very loyal!  Made from quality white mohair Duke has been shaded in the tail area and one ear for effect.  They both have  a shiny little black nose and bright English glass eyes.  Pepi has a joint in his neck.  Both Duke and Pepi have easy to follow pattern and instructions. "TOFFEE" A GINGER KITTEN - Pattern Little Toffee Kitten has been created in beautiful Alpaca fabric and stands 5inches nose to tail.  She is only a Kitten and is only jointed at the neck.  This makes her an ideal beginners kit.  You can choose to colour her anyway you wish or if you prefer just leave her the natural colour of the Alpaca for a cute little Persian Kitten.  This pattern has complete and easy to follow instructions for you to create Toffee.
