Lots of fun was had by all who attended the Gold Coast International
Teddy Bear Fair on the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend. Here are some photos etc.. for those of you who couldn't attend.

The Gold Coast International Teddy Bear Fair was held on June 7th
& 8th at Jupiters Casino, Broadbeach. The show attracted thousands of
locals & holiday makers, with over 100 trading tables & a teddy
making workshops, competitions & raffles.

The show got underway on Friday evening with a Welcome Cocktail party for all traders. The following morning the show opened at 10am with lots of fun and excitement. There were traders from all over Australia & New Zealand , as well as SEVERAL overseas Teddy Bear Artists

Saturday night was the gala event the Charity Auction Dinner. This was held in the Ballroom and a "royal" theme was adopted (to celebrate the Queen's Birthday weekend) which saw quite a few royal outfits & tiaras. Winners of the competition were announced & the SECOND ever "Conrad Diamond Teddy Award" was presented to KERRIE MOUATT for her exquisite bear creation.
Sunday saw another day's trading & lots more fun. A very enjoyable
weekend was had by all who attended this show. We hope next year's show will
be an even greater success.
We'd like to express a big thank you to all Beary Cheap customes who have purchased a little Moon Bear or a T- Shirt via their website over the past months, the proceeds of which were donate to Animals Asia. Beary Cheap customers have now donated over $2,500.00 to Animals Asia and Jill asked us to express her gratitude to all Beary Cheap customers for their generosity in supporting the Bear Rescue program. She is an extraordinary lady & we feel very privileged to have met & talked with her.
