2008 FAIR INFORMATION: 7th & 8th JUNE 2008
At long last, we have secured a confirmed date for the 2008 Gold Coast International Teddy, Doll & Craft Fair. The problem has been with the new management of Jupiters Hotel/Casino, Tab Corp. They have instituted new guidelines concerning the hire of the Ballroom and venue hire can only be confirmed on a "six month prior to the event" basis.

This of course has made forward planning quite difficult for us, and our Exhibitors. When so many folk need to plan holidays and book Air travel from both overseas and distant Interstate. We have been inundated with enquiries both from prospective Visitors and Exhibitors.

There has also been a problem with escalating hire costs.

The Jupiters Hotel/Casino has now been our venue for seven years. We are loath to change such a superb venue for some place less attractive and convenient for both the Traders and the Public.

As a consequence, we are forced to alter the format of THE FAIR, at the same time giving careful consideration to all parties needs.

We have decided that this year, THE FAIR will be a ONE DAY EVENT, on SUNDAY 8th June, with secured storage on SATURDAY evening and early set-up on the SUNDAY morning. The usual "MEET-AND-GREET" Reception will be held in the Ballroom Foyer on the SATURDAY evening between 5.00pm and 8.00pm.

We feel that the Public (Buyers and Collectors) will attend on the SUNDAY in the same numbers that would normally attend a two-day event. (The second day's trading, really has become very slow at all two-day shows throughout the Country). An added advantage for traders will be in the reduced table costs, while achieving a similar level of trading. One-day Trading could also be an advantage to those who need to return to their home base for work commitments. Etc. and for those folk as visitors to the Gold Coast for the Fair, a one-day event would allow more time to savor our numerous attractions, both natural and entertaining.

The table booking forms and complete information packages for the 2008 FAIR, will be sent out by email and Australia post, and will also be available on our website early in the New year. The Jupiters Hotel room bookings and other accommodation details will also be available in early January.

The organizers of the FAIR at KYMPATTI BEARS AUSTRALIA will again host a range of workshops by acclaimed Artists to be held at the Broadbeach based Kympatti Studios. This information will also be available in January 2008.
